Hi everybody this is the best recipe for sugar cookies I have ever had. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour 2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
11/4 cups margarine(softened) 1/4 cup white sugar for decoration
Directions:
First preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. In a medium bowl stir together all dry ingredients; flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.Next in a large bowl cream together margarine and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.Beat in eggs and then vanilla.Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just blended.Refrigerate for fifteen minutes.Roll dough into small balls and roll in sugar you set aside.Place cookies a few inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake for between 7 and 10 minutes depending on your oven.If not sure would recommend checking on them after 6-7 minutes until you know what time to use.Cookies will look lightly browned at the edge and not gooey.Allow cookies to sit for five minutes before removing them from the baking sheet to cool completely.
Enjoy!
