Special Chat on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)
Tuesday June 26th at 8:00 pm EDT, Dr. Judith M. Fouladbakhsh, will share her recent research on CAM’s patterns and usage in the United States. She will also discuss how CAM is currently being used for treatment of pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and fatigue.
She is an assistant professor at Wayne State University, College of Nursing, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified (APRN, BC), Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse, Board Certified (AHN-BC), and a Healing Touch Practitioner, Certified (CHTP).
Dr. Fouladbakhsh has extensive experience in public health nursing, complementary and alternative therapies for pain management, cancer treatment and cancer survivorship. She is the recipient of numerous professional awards including the Wayne State University Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Oncology Nursing Society’s Excellence in Cancer Nursing Research Award. Dr. Fouladbakhsh has just recently returned from Munich, Germany where her CAM research was presented at the International Congress on Complementary Medicine Research.
