Hi everyone,
Today I thought we could discuss RSD and sweating.Once again the sympathetic nervous system controls our body temperature. Since I have been diagnosed, I now notice when I am not freezing cold I sweat from the chest up.What is really strange is it happens everywhere but my armpits.Seems odd but I have been told by my doctor this is a symptom of the sympathetic nervous system not functioning correctly .Since the major damage is in the brachial plexus which is a group of nerves deep in your chest I sweat mainly in that area.I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything similiar to what I am describing. This is my personal understanding about what I am experiencing and would be glad to hear any comments or personal experiences you are having with RSD and sweating.Living with RSD is scary, frustrating and confusing, but I hope by sharing our experiences we can try to make some sense about what is happening to our bodies. If you would like to comment or add your own experiences with RSD and sweating please add them to this post.
Robyn I love you

Hello,

In response to sweating, I experience alot of sweating. Ive tried everything to make it stop, but when it starts I cant do anything to stop it. Ive tried showers and eating ice.Sometimes when I take a shower it is worse. The burning also can start the sweating and sometimes fevers cause sweating. It doesnt up set me as much as it use to.My motto is to laugh instead of crying. I told my mother getting old will be a breeze because it wont be any worse than what i feel now.

Hi rdk,
Great to see you! I hope you are doing good today. What a great attitude you have. Since we are stuck with our RSD symptoms might as well laugh at it. Good for you! When I get hot flashes I wonder if I would even know the differenceDoing anything special for the fourth? Talk to you soon.
Robyn I love you
