Hello to everyone, A bit about my story of rsd. I developed rsd about 3yrs ago. at first i couldnt understand what was wrong why my foot hurt so bad after an injury. i went to my doctor and they tried different procedures, which did not work. My foot was swollen but not huge and i had the purplish color. My doc then sent me to neurologist and after several test said i had rsd. I had no idea what that was but i was like great....i am sure like many of you. i did therapy didnt work and tried several meds. i had an block done,,that was so bad. The pain was getting worse and the sensitivity, shooting feelings and didnt want anyone to touch me. The swelling did go down. Anyways the rsd spread up to my hip so now my whole leg is in constant pain...that then makes my anxiety go 200% worse. My question to anyone is does everyone with rsd have to have the swelling and discolor? Like i said mine went down but all of the other symptoms have become so bad that they want to put a pump into my stomach. Is there anyone who is the same and who has the pump. I greatly appreciate all of your help.
renee

Hi Renee,
Thanks for sharing your story with us. Everyone with RSD is different so I would say no it doesn't have to but it could at one point like yours did and then it might come and go or not. I had big color changes at the beginning and then now still do but it comes and goes at will it isn't a constant thing. I would say that RSD is in the drivers seat on this one not us. Some people stay swollen and some don't too it just depends on the person. As for the pump I haven't had to go down that road yet myself but recently we did a discussion on it and right after I post this I will be placing the discussion in past discussions if you would like to read it for some information on pumps. Let us know how things go for you with your pump and good luck!
Love,
Robyn
