ADVOCACY ALERT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Veterans Pain Care Act of 2008 (HR 6122)
has been introduced in the House of Representatives
by Congressman Tim Walz!
TAKE ACTION NOW! Urge your representative to co-sponsor this important legislation!
To All Pain Advocates, Members of the American Pain Foundation, and Supporters of Veterans and Their Families:
Modern warfare often leads to serious but survivable injuries to the central and peripheral nervous system. And while advances in medical technology have saved the lives of many wounded soldiers who might have otherwise died, many veterans of our Armed Forces are afflicted by acute and chronic pain. Pain is also a leading cause of disability among veterans. As a result, providing adequate pain management is a crucial component of improving veteran health care.
Thanks to Representative Walz of Minnesota who has sponsored the bill, the Veterans Pain Care Act of 2008 (HR 6122) has been introduced to the House of Representatives. For more information please see:
