I have been being treated in Austin, but may move to Houston soon. My doctor here doesn't seem to know what I have, or what it is doing to me (RSD, diagnosed 9/2000). I found a "Warm cream" (expensive...about $25 for 2 oz/$35 for 4 oz. and I mix it with capaszin and a bit of hand lotion) at www.drleonards.com that helps alot and the attitude was "Ok, so what...if you're cold, wear more clothes." How do you wear more clothes when your arm is freezing, and the rest of you is sweating! (Try the Warm Cream if you can, it really helps!)
Anyway, does anyone in Houston (I'll be near Kemah) have a sympathetic, understanding and educated doctor treating their RSD they could refer me to? I'd be interested in alternative treatments as well but am limited financially since I still haven't returned to work and SSI keeps denying me, too.
Robyn, thanks for this group. You've explained a lot concerning changes in my body, and it's nice to know I'm not alone, and to think maybe I can help someone, too.
Keep smiling, y'all!
