Hi everybody,
Once again it is time for our weekly discussion and today I would like to discuss RSD and burning pain. I know I personally struggle with the burning pain that is part of my RSD. It actually feels like I am being burnt, as if you have touched a stove, or something really hot.. Have you felt this as part of your RSD? I have felt this on a daily basis and it is truly awful.Sometimes your doctor will prescribe medication to lesson the burning pain; however, this decision is between you and your doctor. Personally, I am on medication for it and it does help me a little, but the burning is still here. For me, the medicine isn't a cure, but it does lessen the severity and frequency of my burning pain. Some people might not find any relief, or will see alot of relief, it depends on the individual.I have noticed that when the burning pain is at it's worst a cramp will happen at the same time. I am wondering if anyone else has this same experience? If you would like to discuss your experience with burning pain please add your comments to this post. I would love to hear your opinions.
Robyn

Hi Glenda,
You described it perfectly it does feel like that to me too. Just like you were burnt on a stove. It is so horribly painful.

I get burning in my legs and hips, sometimes arms too now. It feels like it's down really, really deep in my muscles. Usually I will start having muscle spasms at the same time I feel the burning and other times I'll get the spasms right before the burning starts. Most times it just feels like someone lit a huge bonfire inside my limbs and won't put it out!!!

Karen that happens to me too with the muscle cramping along with it they put me on medicine recently for the cramping and it is really helping to keep it under control.

Glad to hear something is helping to keep that under control. It's so annoying to deal with. *sigh* If this weather would straighten up I'd be lots better. Every part of me is hurting and burning at this point. It's gotten worse lately and usually with weather change especially. I can definitely tell when a front is coming through!!
